Redefining Streetwear - When Viral Content meets Community driven Design

In the competitive world of streetwear and wearable tech, SKINNER aimed to make an impact by combining never before used technology with high end fashion. Focused on protecting wearers from mass surveillance and harsh environmental conditions, SKINNER invested heavily in research and development to create a ground breaking product.
However, despite the insane combination of technology and quality design, there was still a huge challenge: SKINNER was completely unknown.
The Problem

We launched an interactive campaign, inviting our audience to participate in every step of the design process. From choosing the logo and brand colours to what material would be used and even the exact placement of the pockets.
From hooking the viewers with a never before seen approach to community engagement to entertaining them with striking visuals, the project was an overwhelming success and served as a launchpad for a now thriving Independent brand.
The Strategy
I developed a multi-faceted go to market strategy that leveraged the viral potential of TikTok and the innovative concept of crowd sourced design to build awareness and an immediate sense of ownership and brand loyalty amongst followers.
