The Main Event

Digital Collectibles for Retro Gamers

New Kid on the Block

When GameStop launched its new NFT trading platform, we were contacted to be one of the first contributors. The marketplace was unproven, and the NFT craze seemed to be losing steam. We knew that to stand out, we had to do more than just drop another collection—we needed to build a community and deliver real value to our collectors.

The Collectibles

Inspired by retro toys and classic arcade games, we created 5,000 unique art pieces for fans to collect and trade, all with the goal of building the strongest team for the "The Main Event"

The Launch

Within days, the response was electric. "The Main Event " quickly became one of the top-selling projects on the platform. Thousands of collectors snagged an NFT, and our Discord Community exploded with new members.

The Experience

After weeks of strategizing and assembling their teams, players linked their wallets to our custom-built site to register for a bracket-style tournament with thousands of dollars in prizes on the line. Each battle came to life through retro-inspired fight visuals, drawing on classics like Tekken and Street Fighter. Players could dive into the action, watching hundreds of matchups to see who would emerge as The Main Event champion!
